Every Sunday morning, we meet for a theology breakfast. This is an opportunity for us to spend an hour before our meeting on Sunday to dig into some of the key theological concepts and ideas in the Bible.
We run five theological tracks that operate over the course of 2 years:
- Bible Themes – A systematic theology track bringing together what the Bible teaches on key recurring topics concerning God, humankind, the church and other theological concepts.
- Bible Overview – A biblical theology track looking at the overall storyline on the Bible. This offers an overview of each book of the Bible, its place in the Bible and its purpose in God’s story.
- Bible Framework – A track looking at key theological concepts taught in the Bible that give us a helpful framework for understanding different passages of the Bible.
- Bible Reading – A track helping us to understand how to read and interpret the Bible so we can expose the meaning of the text.
- Bible Church – A track thinking about the theology of the local church, how it should operate, why it operates the way it does and how our theology plays out practically in the life of the church.
Anybody can join at any point. Once all five tracks have been completed, we return to the beginning and start again. This gives everyone in the church the opportunity to get a solid grounding in theology.
These sessions are open to anybody who wants to understand the Bible better and to grasp important concepts taught in its pages.
The session are not aimed at experts but are particularly concerned with making theology accessible to everyone. We have people studying together with higher level degrees and those without formal qualifications, people with theological training and those with none, people who have been Christians many years and those who are relatively new. All are welcome and all are fully engaged.
